Professor Tate's Traveling Road Show Playing Cards was our first Kickstarter project. The great experience and warm feedback from supporters inspired us to dive in and start several new poker and tarot projects with some amazing artists.

Few people ever realize that traditional Tarot decks have a secret Poker deck hidden inside – or – that both Tarot and Poker spring from the same branch of a single family tree. Ethereal Dreams is a stunning collection of Tarot and Poker decks that highlight and celebrate the common history and structure shared by Tarot and Poker through the ages.

Why I'm creating these cards

I’m David Bollt. When I launched my first Kickstarter project (Professor Tate's Traveling Road Show Playing Cards). It was one of the most rewarding creative experiences of my life. Interacting with supporters and fans of the deck reminded me (deep down) why I create art. It had me feeling more connected to the people who I'm creating for.

Working on these special tarot and poker decks has been an opportunity for me to create a pedestal for some of the most compelling creative imagery I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to sharing my own art in upcoming card decks, and I'm super excited about some other amazing (and secret) decks that we're already working on with some phenomenal artists.

Inspiration is precious and valuable. It makes us feel like we can contribute in a meaningful way to the world around us. Thanks for being a part of the process!
